School this week was unexpectedly better than than I thought it would be. First week of school for the term, so I guess the pace is relatively slow.

2 block test and 1 lecture test over.
Math block test was seriously no kick, thanks for the unnecessary pressure on me from my classmates, lol.

Chemistry block was still ok, knew how to do majority of the paper. This shows that studying for a test really makes a lot of difference, haha.

Physics lecture test was easier than the previous one, and since I passed the previous one, I'm certain I'll pass this! ^^

Got back my econs case study test finally after 3 weeks. Wonder why the teachers take so long to mark it.

Well, bad news is, I failed. Got 8/20 which was also better than what I expected, cause I never study for it.

Good news is, 90% of my class failed, so it shows the paper was hard. Highest in class was 13/20. Even the teachers admit it was hard. Oh come on, why set a test that will make majority of the students fail? What kind of joy can you derive from that? Sadistic teachers...

Other than the test, the organiser of Blood Donation Drive 1 has finally revealed his face(well more like his presence) to the whole school. And he is none other than me! =D

Worn the blood drop mascot and walked around the school last thursday. It was epic embarrassing, lol. Then I was perspiring profusely, due to the lack of ventilation inside the costume and the adrenalin in my body. A lot of people whacked me, lol. And, so many people were looking at me, but thank God they couldn't recognise me, or so I thought?

Then, after that, my OGL friend told me ''Gary, you just now wear the blood drop mascot and walked around school ah?'' I was like ''OMGOSH, HOW DID YOU KNOW?!" Then he said, "Cause a few OGLs recognised your voice and they spreaded it to the rest of the OGLs." I was like GGIFIED!!!! Ah, there goes my image, lol. But nevertheless, it was really fun, haha. Who cares about image anyway? I doubt I have any either. =P

"So Cute!"-Quoted from Sheena

Behind the 'mask'

Thanks Dave, Danny and Jasper for helping out! =)

My turn to whack the blood drop mascot!

Being an organiser is tough, but the fun part is finally here. Admin really sucks, lol. I'm more of an operational kind of person. After this week, the greatest burden for the past 2 months will be gone. Time really passes fast. I can still remember the first proposal I did, and now I have over 10 proposals. I really hope I won't screw up anything for the next week, cause anything bad that will happen will most probably happen next week. God please protect me from any form of attacks. 'No weapons formed against me shall prosper.' Amen!

It is great you're finally friendly towards me. I really hope it will remain like this. Just platonic friendship. Now I'm certain I don't want to confess to you. It will result in you avoiding me, for sure. As long as you're happy, that is all it matters. =)

The holidays have finally come to an end, literally. 13 more mins to a brand new day, full of the challenges that lies ahead of me.

Challenge no.1: Studies

Chemistry block test tomorrow, one of the major papers other than prelims. Testing on carbonyl compounds, halogen derivatives, carboxlyic acid and derivatives and the worst of all, nitrogen derivatives. The last topic made many people go crazy, including yours truly. The longest lecture in JC chemistry so far, and it is super difficult to understand. I won't be surprised why the number of sucide cases are increasing in teenagers. The education system is placing too much stress on us. Then we go home and get owned by our parents for not doing well.

Math lecture test on tuesday. Well, this isn't much of a challenge to me. In fact, I'm looking forward to it! =D

Challenge no.2: Transition

Waking up early tomorrow and adapting back to the mugging lifestlye. This holiday has its way somehow, of making me forget totally that I'm a JC student. Lol, this holiday was fun, albeit being busy and with almost no time to spend on my own. I don't want to leave this fantasy; reality isn't as fun as it seems. Actually, when has reality been fun in the first place?

Challenge no.3: Commitments

Eh, a lot of commitments now. But I shall follow what the bible says and seek his kingdom first, and all these things shall be added to me. I mean, hasn't it been proven in my life so many times? Haven't I witness it with my own eyes? But I don't know why, trusting God this year seems harder than the previous years. Maybe my parents brainwashed me too much. Oh man, first time they asking me not to spend too much time in church, and I'm from a christian family. How ironic, lol.

Is 'A' level really that important? Well, the morally correct answer is yes. But, how important is it, compared to God? Is it possible to have best of both world? Of course it is. Look at Pastor Kong, he was from RJC and is the pastor of the largest church in Southeast Asia. Yea, I believe I can do it too. God I really want to trust in you. Help me God. I need you.

Didn't touch my holiday homework at all since the start of holiday. So to compensate, I studied from 1pm to 6pm today after prayer meeting. Wee, actually I love studying, but I don't want to study for the sake of studying. Meaning, I don't want to study just because there are exams, certificates, or whatever at stake. I want to study because it is an intellectual pleasure and satisfaction, lol. Too bad, it ain't gonna be possible in our society. Like it or not, you must study in order to get what you want, or at least, be what you want-your career.

Lastly, I heard something around the inspire camp that only CGLs know. But in the end, now most of our CG people know, lol. Woo, so excited! Can't wait till ________(fill in the blank if you can) Hehe!!! =D

Today is the only day I'm totally free, no meetings, no events, nothing on!

Have been busy the past few days, but they were meaningful and well-spent. =)

Firstly, I've done a video production of my own connect group and I'm super proud of them. The video is a miracle video, cause it wouldn't have been possible without God's guidance. Initally when Edwin said every group must do something to contribute to the CG's blog and our group have to post on tuesday, I was super stressed cause I'm only free on wednesday, which is today, haha.

Then during sermon last week, I wasn't even thinking about the video production, then God spoke to me to do a video production to showcase our talents. I was like, 'Oh ya, why didn't I think of that? In this case, I don't need to meet everyone, and can make use of the time I'm free in between to do, lol.

It is true I'm busy, but there are always these little 1-2 hours break which I always despise and never really take into consideration. This project really opened my eyes and see what God can do with the little that we have.

Enjoy the video! =)

Secondly, I went to usher chalet from monday night to tuesday morning. Like the typical singaporean I was, I went there mainly for the food, lol! I also thought that I won't know anyone there except for Pin De and a few other aquintances. But I was wrong, I know so many people there that I won't usually talk to, cause they were mostly team ICs and section leaders. Then got a chief usher there also! Very scary, lol. But in real life, they were all so friendly and I had so much fun there! =)

Reached there around 7.30pm, then ate the BBQ food till 9pm. Then 9pm had had nightwalk with the people being blindfolded. Then kena splashed by water and stuff like that. Then we were all shouting at Pin De cause he is the mastermind of the sabo. Then we all said we will tau pok him after the night walk, which we did! Ahhhh so crazy, everyone was so high which was good. =D

Then we celebrated a Team IC's birthday, Vanessa and found out there were many scandals in the section, lol. The best one was 'Pin De and Michelle!' I will remember that, muahahha. =P

Then Koon Fai came and he brought his guitar, then some of us stayed in the chalet to sleep/slack, while others went MAC for supper. Then the people inside the room complained we play the guitar too loud, so we went to the bedroom to sleep too. By that time, it was already 3am, lol. Then slept till 5am and the whole group from MAC came back to disturb us. It was super funny, cause they played the 'Hello, Good morning!' song, which made everyone laugh, lol.

Then went back to sleep till 7am, ate breakfast and went back home cause got school. Aww, I really wished I could stay on man, it was so short...

Went back school for CSL meeting and painted banners for Blood Donation Drive from 10am to 3pm. Then went to Funan IT mall to support my school team in Inter-school competition. They did quite ok, top 16 in whole of Singapore. Lost against SJI, which is quite an elite and well-known team in the world of DOTA. Then went back home at 9pm.

So free today, I would really like to watch a movie, but I doubt anyone who I'm close with is free. In conclusion, this holiday is really a bogus. Oh well, I didn't expect much in the first place, so the disappointment won't be that great too, lol.

YES IT IS FINALLY THE HOLIDAYS!!!

I've been waiting for this moment for the past 76 days! Woot I'm can go back to my usual sleeping late at night again =D It is sort of inculcated in me to be a little bit nocturnal. After all, I'm from the best camping school in the whole of Singapore-JJC. Yup I'm know I'm biased and I'm not ashamed of it. My record of having 15 camps so far proves it. ^^

List of camps I went to (in order of the earliest):

1. 08 orientation camp
2. JAE camp
3. CDAYL camp
4. West zone FAC camp
5. West zone Line camp
6. EG camp
7. E-club camp
8. CSL camp
9. Bannister camp
10. West zone Prep camp
11. West zone camp 2
12. Leaders' development camp
13. OGL training camp
14. 09 orientation camp
15. J2 house camp

And of course, being a camper/OGL means sleeping late at night. I know I'm a sadist, but one reason why I love camps so much is cause I can get to sleep late at night, lol.

Anyway, the start of the holidays had been terrific!

Went Sentosa on saturday to play sentosa raiders. I was in team 27 and CC was my team leader. Intially we were on the right track, then got stuck on the 2nd station. Didn't know we had to cross the bridge to the other station. Then I was in charge of taking photos for my team. Then when I searched my pocket, I got a shock of my life. My handphone was missing! Wah, I was stunned for 5 seconds (Potm arrow with 1.5k range) and CC was like 'Gary you don't scared me hor, not funny.' Cause everything I said I lost something it would actually be in my bag or somewhere else. But this time, it wasn't!

I got so scared, cause the phone quite exp, then my father got it for me as an incentive. Furthermore, losing it will only bring more trouble. I already lost it once, and it was through God's grace a total stranger found it and returned to me, from the other side of Singapore-Bedok.

So CC called my phone and THANK GOD SOMEONE PICKED IT UP! CC told me audrey picked up my phone, and she will pass me back later. Thanks audrey, wherever you are; my most sincere gratitude to you. =)

After Sentosa raiders, went to service and I served. Woot can be a runner for the whole of west. Actually I prefer to be overseeing the whole zone than just one part of it. More challenging, but at least you know where the empty seats are. Cause I got a case where my seats were filled by another person, then the person never tell me, then no more seats left. Then I felt so guilty, lol.

But, the best part of the service was the sermon. I just love his usage of English Language. How he pharses his sentences and uses the appropriate words to make his life story so engaging. Was exhausted but listening to him just invigorates me. Makes me realise how important languages are, other than math and science. Afterall, the bible is in English(and of course other languages), not math and science. Hmm, I must really read more books and newspaper. I wanna get an A/B for my 'A' level GP!

Sadly, the holidays isn't really considered a holiday for me. I'm free only on wednesday for the whole day. But, at least I got something to do during the holidays, not wasting my time slacking, haha.

Oh shucks, I haven't done my nitrogen deriatives tutorial and tomorrow have chemistry lessons. Ahhh, Jia You Gary!! Self motivation rawks! =P

Had Chem 'A' level Pratical today. Totally owned the pratical. Left 40 minutes extra time. And I have the highest yield in the whole class! My teacher saw it then patted me on the back, lol. Then need to write 6 erros only, I wrote 7 errors cause I was bored. Then slept on the bench till the end of pratical.

30 minutes after that was the maths lecture test. Another ownage paper, can do without studying. And I really never study cause I was busy mugging for Chemistry. 'A' level more important, haha. Seriously when is my school going to raise the standard for math?? Haix, keep doing the same old simple questions. Bored le...

Tomorrow don't need go school! E-learning at home, wahahah. Every school in Singapore will have E-learning. My younger brother had his yesterday, then my mother's school next week.
The only bad thing is, must wake up at 8am to do some quiz/assignment for EVERY subjects =(! Oh well, I should worry about how to prevent myself from playing any games when I switch on the com. Lol...

Got D for my 'A' level Chinese, which is thankfully a pass. Hmm, it was better than I expected, cause I'm essentially not communicating in chinese in my daily life. Yay, don't need to retake, haha. The smartest guy in my class who got Full exemption last year got S. Guess his only weakness is language, lol. Thank God only need S and above to get into University. But, spoil my result slip sia...O level also spoiled thanks to Chinese. Oh well...at least it is finally over. Good bye Chinese! =D

Having camp from thursday to friday. Friday night going to Seoul Garden for class outing, woot! Then 'holiday' will start, and the seniors' prediction were right. Where got holiday for J2? Just a fantasy. Ironically, I'm going to be more busy during the holidays. Ah, so many projects and homework and outings and etc. Oh man, I'm going to burn out soon. God please give me strength and enlarge my capacity. Depending on you now, if not I'll literally GG. Reminds me of my math lecturer. Wonders if he plays Dota too, lol.

I think I'm living life looking forward to the weekends only. Weekends are sort of the only time where I can really put my mind into a temporal lapse from the incredibly hectic 'study-life' in school.

Went to school last saturday at 8am for intra-school competition for my CCA. I was the chief judge and was super busy running around from 3th floor, the screening room to 4th floor, the Lan centre. Then everyone was like calling my name every single moment, super chaotic. My school team's vice captain specially asked me to take a photo of his creeps kill.

594 creeps kill in 63 mins and 15 seconds, lol.

Went back home at 8pm and was shagged to the max. Fell asleep on the sofa accidentally...Then Edwin called me and told me we will be combining CG with W459.

By the way, CGM was awesome last sunday =). Initally when Edwin told me that we were combining with W459, I got stunned. I was thinking if it was possible to squeeze so many people into my house, lol. Then Edwin and I also a bit stressed, but we managed to accomplish it in the end, hehe.

Presence of God was also strong, cried during worship too. I really wish that every CGM can have such tangible presence of God. Wouldn't that be great? A rhetorical question O.o...

Went service after CGM and the sermon was good. I'm an analytical person and just love seeing how all these hebrew words are linked to something, and link to something else, and so on. It is super cool la, lol. Can infer from all these that the Bible is so real. Don't even need history or archeology or biology (in this case, laminin). Just use your brain, haha.

After service went to Vivocity to find W453 and W459. They were having a farewell ceremony (maybe more of sabo ceremony =X) for Issac. Some of us went to LJS to eat first cause we just came from service; the intense sound from our stomach was enticing us to eat.

After that, we went to the arcade!! Woo, I performed infront of them with my para-para moves. It was super fun, lol. Then the drums were also fun, but I got owned when I played those super hard songs, lol.

View of the sea from Vivo

Hui Wen and Christina

Reached home ard 9.53pm. The bus ride of Bus 30 from vivo city to lakeside took 1 hour. Didn't manage to sleep cause every 10 mins, will have sms. Busy guy sia, lol =X.

Prioritizing is crucial, especially in this fast-paced society of Singapore we are living in. Finally I realised how important it is. In the past, I didn't really need to prioritize cause I was handling just a few stuff. Now, I really need to enlarge my capacity and do more than one thing at a time. Tomorrow Chemistry A level pratical, and Maths lecture test. I'm not going to study math, cause A level is more important. Then again, why do I need to study math in the first place? Nice one Gary, lol.

Now I'm kinda confused, lol. I don't even know if I like anyone now. Walked pass her and the feeling is totally gone. So weird. It must have been my prayer, hahahaha. So my prayer really did work. ^^ Ok I'm a free man again, lol. I think I'll just wait for the right time. Patience is afterall, a virtue. And I've learnt my lesson. Once bitten, twice shy. I'm never gonna confess to another girl again, unless I'm 100% certain it is mutual. Lol, I think I might become a bachelor if this goes on. Ah who cares, don't worry, be happy. =)

Didn't update for quite some time already; it never rain but pours. It is currently raining right now so I think it applies to the context, hahaha.

I was naive to think that after clearing the huge stack of homework I had last week, I would have maybe a short moment of relaxation. Too bad, reality hits and it hits really hard. Ironically, it is my most favourite subject that is making me burn the midnight oil. Stayed up till 3am yesterday just to complete math homework. I still own homework for my chemistry teacher for 1 week and physics teacher for 4 days. Tomorrow got GP and I still lack one article, which I will most probably be able to complete later.

Worst of all, tomorrow having economics test on inflation and unemployment and I don't know a single thing about those 2 topics. Been through the lectures but literally, 'my body was there but my soul wasn't'.

Sometimes I wished if quitting school is an option...anywhere I will die one day and I don't need a degree to go into heaven, right? So just leave school lor? Sounds demented, oh well.

I doubt I will enjoy the working life. I hate doing proposals, and I'm 'enjoying' myself now doing proposals for 3 projects. Sometimes, the thing you hate in life most will unexpectedly come straight to you in your face. Not complaining though, I seriously hope that this will train me for whatever future lies ahead of me.

Nevertheless, in my moments of stress and overloading of work, there were still times of fun and laughter.

Last sunday

Visited my fellow OGL who fractured his toe while he was playing rubgy.

He is still smiling despite his injury, lol. Actually I asked him to smile =X

Found out that he has a girlfriend->the girl sitting beside him wearing a pink shirt.

Went there with almost all the OGL from my family, and we chatted for a super long period of time. Then went to eat dinner and I daresay the hospital food there taste...expensive. $5 duck rice and the rice is lesser than what I will get from a $2 chicken rice. Tio scammed to the max. =(

Other than the visit/family outing, this whole week has been pure labourious. I can't wait till 3rd april. God, please let me pass through the next one month unscathed. Now I know why my friend prefer to be physically pressured than to be mentally pressured. Being mentally pressured simply incapacitates you and makes you feel like going crazy, which will lead to you being physically pressured.

Sometimes it is easier said than done. Saying 'I let it go' really is easy. But in actual fact, I can't...and I think I made a lot and a lot of assumptions and I know that assuming what is truth when it is not really creates a lot of understanding. She only passed her notes to him and I though she liked him, that it is her way of rejecting me without hurting my feelings. They are just friends and my mind keeps telling me there is more than meets the eye. Why am I so analytical? Sometimes I do wish I can be simple-minded.

She said 'sorry' to me today, cause I said 'excuse me' as I wanted to enter the classroom and she was at the door obstructing me. I acted as if I didn't care about her existance, but it is so obvious she knows I like her. The more I try not to like her, the more awkward I feel. The more I try not to look at her, the more she starts appearing out of nowhere.

Why is this so complicated? Perhaps this is only one of the complicated stuff adults have to face. My heartfelt sympathy for all the adults in the world. I will be part of them sooner or later. But for now, don't worry, be happy. =)
