Was taking bus 99 home with rachel after service. Chatted for a while before I said I need lots and lots of money to buy all the things that I want. Then she told me that money is evil. Well, I gave a politically correct, impromptu answer at that time-Money isn't evil, it is both good and evil.
I shall use the analogy of water in general to support my answer. Water can help float a boat, yet sink it at the same time. You can look at almost everything from a different perspective in life. Most people think that a coin only has heads or tails. But, have you ever seen a coin standing straight on the tip? I have. You do know it is possible too, but it depends on the situation.
But my answer wasn't complete. Money isn't both good and evil. Money is either good or evil. If you place money into the hands of a decent, honest chap, it will be 'good' money. Conversly speaking, if you allow money to fall into the hands of the wicked, it will be 'evil' money. So, the 'characteristics' of money is only decided by the character of its owner. God also said that either you worship money or worship him too. You can't worship both. Its quite impossible; theoretically you can, but if you worship one, you won't want to worship the other.
Have you made money evil or good with your actions? Hmm...the answer lies within yourself.
Oh well, enough of all these philosophical reasonings, lol. Let me see what I can spend with money. =D
Tithe (Of course, this is the first thing you should always do with money.)
Ok this are the things that I was talking about to buy.
1) GT9600 graphic card- >$300
2) Razor Copperhead (It is a gaming mouse fyi)-$99
3) PSP-~$200-300+
4) Razor Mantis/Everglidetitan mousepad-$42/$38
5) A keyboard (not the computer keyboard -.-)-~$999
6) Razor Tarantula (now this is a computer keyboard...)-$145
7) Food!!!!-$50 per day muwahahahaha. I'm not weak!!
8) Clothes-~$300 anywhere~
9) A brand new gaming computer from HP- To be confirmed (Tbc)
10) Mountain bike- ~$150
11) A digital watch with double timing function- Tbc
12) New spectacles and lenses- ~$150
13) Assignment books (Maths and sciences! ^^)- ~$100
14) TCZ21 volume 29-40- $88,
15) New schoolbag- Tbc
16) At least 2 pairs of shoes- Tbc
17) New handphone-Tbc
18) A pair of earphones-$<40
Ok it took me 23 mins to think of all these things. I think this should be all, unless I grow other and have more wants. Now after calculating all these, I need a total of:
$2621+$50 everyday and still have 5 tbc!!!
Gosh, I will never ever get to buy all these stuff. Haix...now you understand why I need so much money?
Thank God the most precious thing of all is free-Salvation. How can you buy it? Lol. Actually in life, most things that people want are also priceless. Examples include happiness, romance, friendship, sense of belonging, spirtuality, etc.
I also can't gurantee that I will be happy after buying the above things mentioned. But I do know, I'm happy now even without all those things. The joy of the Lord is my strength. =)
Lastly, I have a crush on someone that someone already knows. Haven't told anyone before; it was revealed through an exchange of trust. Yea, we had to trust each other to do so. Won't reveal who is that someone as I promised. Lol, I must say, the person enjoys keeping other people in suspense.
I hope I am old enough to have a crush on someone. Is it legal btw? =X, lol! I go study lor. Get the joke? Haha.

It is hard to believe that half of the week has already passed. I must say, that there have been many transitions in this week alone. For a start, I received my timetable on monday and was utterly disappointed to discover that there are no 1-hour breaks at all. Only got 30 mins break and number of lessons has slightly increased. To think that I was complaining about my previous timetable and grew envious of other classes' timetable (especially the art class people, they end school so early...totally incredulous).
Oh well, I do know the reason for all these. Exams are nearing, which also implies, mugging time. Ok, now I know exactly how sick I was in the past. 'I love to study' suddenly seems distant and unfamiliar to me. On the contrary, I enjoy teaching people, especially maths =D; but to do so, I must first study well. Oh, what an irony...
Ok, enough of studies...I had my school's prayer meeting on tuesday in LT3. There were only 2 (Wei yang and I) so we met at the leaders' board before setting off to look for a vacant classroom. At first, went up to the 3rd storey but there was a student coucilor there. Then, went to the classroom block to search. There were many vacant classroom, but then I suddenly suggested to go to LT3 cause there was a piano there. Thank God, LT3 was empty. So we switched on the lights and fans and I started to play the piano. Then we had a power house instead of a prayer meeting, lol. Holy spirit is really creative. Wei yang had to meet Mr.leow at 7, so before he left, I ended with a prayer. Really good prayer meeting man, hope that it will grow and the whole LT3 will be occupied. If that is the case, wow...that will be like 200 people! So cool...
Ok, now back to the main topic. Being a christian in school is really a challenge. We can't succumb to circumstances and have to be positive and friendly. Really difficult, especially today. Slept at 3.45am yesterday, then woke up like 6am. Waking up was a struggle, not to mention surviving through the torturous ordeals of school. Had PC in the morning, and I didn't bring my PE shorts. So I slept in one corner for 1 solid hour, woot. Then had 30 minutes break. Went to the library's sofa to sleep. Very comfortable, within 1 minute I fell asleep. Then when I woke up, saw my watch and was literally stunned. Chinese lesson start at 9.30 and it was a clear 10.22 on my watch. I just sat there blankly and was at a total lost. It is my first time missing lessons, and I was really scared initially. Then I told myself to calm down and just go for the next lesson. Indeed, my classmates started questioning me and laughed when I told them I overslept in the library...O.o. Then lessons went on as usual and I told the teacher that I overslept and apologised. Lol, was quite amazed that he didn't scold me. Just told me not to repeat it again.
Just hope that I will not create a pseudo self during school, but be the real me. Yet, even though the real me isn't perfect, I hope to better myself and just be a servant to everyone I meet. It is just the first week of school, only God knows what will happen for the remaining year. Hopefully I will do well in my studies, be a soul-winner and prosper in my spirit, soul and body.
Yup, looking forward to a bright future. =)

Finally, today is the end of the holidays and I will be going back to school tomorrow. I'm quite reluctant to a certain extent; will be spending less time with my cg members, going out together and fellowshiping with one another. Nevertheless, just like what Edwin said, I must not be a zombie. Have to go to school with enthusiasm and a bright smile.
Definitely there are things that I look foward to in school. Tomorrow will be the grand opening of the new LAN shop, also known as the EG room. Have been going back to school every week to set up the room, tidy the room, unplug all the cables, shift the furnitures from the 2nd storey to the 4th storey (now this was really tough). After all the shifting, we still had to purchases 20 new computers, chairs, paint, lan cables and all the necessary materials for a LAN shop. Had lots of fun and bond building in the process, especially during the trip to sim lim/ikea.
So, going back to school tomorrow. Haven't got my timetable yet, haven't study for chemistry common test, haven't complete my project works. Frankly speaking, I'm not ready for school. But, that is the good thing of being a JC student. We don't have to worry about our teachers. JC is not compulsory education, wahahahha =D. Then again, don't I want to be the salt of the earth and light of the world? Aww, dear Gary, put away your notions of being lazy; it will not come to pass.
So, I hope tomorrow will be a brand new starting. Forget about what happen during the past 6 months. Tomorrow will be a 'Genesis'. God will open new ways, new relationships, new ideas, new breakthroughs and surely, new devils. With greater levels come greater devils. In the world we will face trials and tribulations, but be of good cheer, for God has overcomed the world. It is present perfect tense. God is still overcoming all of our difficulties, and he will continue to do so everyday of our life.
Thank you God for the great month, I really treasure every event and opportunities you have given to me. I commit the remaining 6 months into your hands. I know there will be tough times, and times of jubilee. But I have no worries whatsoever if you are with me by my side. I love you God, not forgetting my wonderful CG W453 and my family. Took me long enough to realise how fortunate I am...

This is already the last week of the holidays and honestly, I haven't even touch a single bit of my homework from the start. Hmm, is there even homework in JC? Lol. Only need to study for my maths common test which is on thursday.
Have been waking up early every morning to attend the prayer meeting in Jurong West from 7.30am-8.30am. I must say, it is really a great time of praying and one hour is simply not enough. Haven't even pray finish the prayer list and it was already over. 3 more days left, won't be going on thursday though due to my maths common test. Aww...T.T.
Been inspired by the band 'True worshippers' that came to play for the father's day service. They are really true worshippers of God and wow...the presence of God was really strong. I love all their music and have uploaded some worship songs.
Enjoy...^^

Ok I'm gonna write about the youth camp lest I forget all about it.
Day 1
Woke up at 7am and gave morning call to hui wen, pat and alfred. They were already awake and prepared to set off. As for me, I still haven't pack my stuff completely yet and took a taxi down as I was carrying Edwin's guitar and my bags.
Reached the campsite at approximately 8.30am and went to put my stuff together with the people from my house, Gideon. Then, Alwin and Xin yi, my team leader and asst. team leader respectively, greeted me. After much admin work, we did some ice breakers and cheering. Then played some games and we went to our bunk to put our stuff. After that, we had lunch before heading off to the games site. The scenery is really magnificant. I did take some photos but don't have the phone cable, thus unable to upload any photos. Sad...
Then we played the games and we won 5 games in a row! Woo, my team people are all hiong sia. Lolx. Edwin's game was the most 'memorable'. Sustained lots of cut and, itchness from his station. But I got to admit, his station is the most fun compared to the rest that we played.
Then we were dismissed to wash up/rehearse for the drama later on. As musos, we were allowed to wash up first and have quick dinner before proceeding to Salvation Army. After our practice, the people began to fill the seats and before long, the session started. We kick start with the camp theme song-All things new. It was good, everything went smoothly and I think we did well for praise and worship. Then after worship, the keyboard was spoilt and no sound was heard. So Edwin played the guitar for Kelvin Tan during sermon. Went to check out whats wrong with the keyboard but to no avail. Oh well, technical faults do happen at times. Overall, the first session was great ^^.
Went to the canteen to do my quiet time and it was 12.20am when they told us to rest. But, I didn't want to go to the bunk so I slept on the table, lol! Then woke up like around 2am. Then xuemin said we will be going for the night walk. Ooo...I expected it already, haha. Night walk was fun, cause I used torchlight from my hp! Wahahahah =P. Managed to catch up with the group ahead of us.
After the debrief, we went back to the bunk and sleeping was too easy. Don't even need to count sheeps. Just 30 seconds and I'm knocked out.
Day 2
Woke up 6.30am and prepared to go for band practise again at Salvation Army. This time really sleepy already, and got 2 new songs that pastor wants us to play. So we went early to practise and time really flies. Didn't manage to figure out the chords and the people were already flocking in like swarms of locust. This time must really depend on the Holy Spirit.
Thank God, everything went smoothly and the flow was there till the worship song 'First Love'. Pastor was like signalling us to change song but we didn't. Come to think of it, I was so engrossed in playing the songs I didn't even notice that...
Then I made a fatal mistake. I left the stage with the rest of the band but I didn't know pastor want me to stay to play. So halfway walking, Edwin asked me to go back to play. It was quite embarrassing and I hope Pastor isn't angry with me. So sorry Pastor T.T.
After the session, we had lunch and played some games after that. Didn't participate in the games as I didn't change out of my jeans cause I can't play water games. Aww, missed a time of team building. Furthermore, Pin De was bleeding profusely and I attended to him. The blood kept flowing like nobody's business and alcohol was applied to his fingers. Oww, that must have hurt. God pls heal Pin De...
After games, we were allowed to wash up but I didn't do so due to lack of time. Just changed into my Haute Couture attire and got ready to leave for our destination. The bus arrived and we got on. This is my favourite time of the moment: Sleeping time! Yea...knocked out as expected and we reached Cattage plaza in a blink of an eye (I don't know if I even blinked my eye; it was shut all along, lol).
Saw many people dressed very unique. The men looked dashing and the ladies were gorgeous. As for me, I haven't grasped the true essence of LA streetwear and thus, didn't manage to dress appropriately for the occasion. Not to mention lacking the finance to buy such expensive clothes. Sheesh...
Hatue coutre was the main event of the whole camp and we had beauty pageant and manhunt. Not going into details for this part, or else it will be too long. Just wanna congrats all the winners, Jodie for the best smile award and Wei Sheng for 1st runner up.
After Haute Couture, we went back to the campsite and I went to the canteen to do my quiet time. Was really tired and almost fell asleep. Thank God for your strength and grace to carry me through. After my quiet time, went to pray together with Pin De for the band and session tomoro and after that, went to chat together with Alwin and the rest of the people from Gideon.
Went to sleep at 2am. Once again, sleeping was too easy to be true. Lalala...poof. I'm in dreamland already.
Day 3
Last day of camp. Woke up at 6.30am and got ready to take cab with the leaders, musos, bvs and chorus board to Jurong West for our session. At first, we wanted to use the children church but the tetiary group was using it. So we had to use the chinese church hall instead. Oh no, I don't know how to use the keyboard there...must adapt fast. At least the keyboard was audible, compared to the one at Salvation Army. It was too audible already. Praise was still alright as the other instruments covered my music. But during worship, I just spoilt the song 'Hati Hamba'. Didn't have time to practise the song and worse still, I don't know how the song goes. So, I don't know when to change chords. Gosh...it was really bad. Really let the whole band down. I'm so so so sorry....
At least for altar call, we had some practice and it went well. But I still take take the worship laying down. How I wish I can reverse time and play it well again. Oh well, what's done is done. Gary, take it as a lesson learnt. Grow from your failure. Like what Wei Sheng said, failure is needed sometimes for your own growth. Without failure, how can we learn from our mistakes? Yea...I will engraved it in my heart, this lesson that I have learnt the hard way.
Took some photos after the session and we break camp. What can I say? Marvalleous camp, totally made me 'Stronger' as I stepped out of my comfort zone plenty of times. Looking forward to the next camp. Who knows, maybe for the next camp, another batch of musos will be playing. Yea, rise up people and serve God with your talents. It will be a totally awesome experience and I don't mind doing it again and again and again.
Once again, I would like to thank the people who planned the camp and everyone who made the camp what it is. This 3 days 2 nights camp is really worth more than $25. It is priceless. To me that is.

Just like what the title says, this post will solely be about the preparation of the camp that I have just attended plus a few miscellaneous stuff. Will be writing about the actual camp in the next post as there is simply too many things to write about, more than a usual GP essay (1500 words).
So here we go...
Woo, this camp has really come a long way. From the start of the audition for the youth band till today, every single moment is worth to be treasured. I still remembered the time when I went for the audition. If impromptu is to be defined, the audition was the perfect example of it. I came unprepared due to my blurness and I was a bit 'bochap' about it initially. But God saved the day. There were chords given and well, I had some piano experience prior to this. But playing the piano is totally different from playing the keyboard, especially when you are playing in front of Edwin. His expectation is really high and I know it is for our own good.
Many weeks of practise, some in church and some in studios we booked by ourselves, went by. Then the time came to be vetted by Pastor Zhuang. It was before the prayer meeting on wednesday and all of us have been praying for this day. I was quite confident for praise but a little worried for worship. Then we played in front of pastor and he gave all of us some comments to improve the flow, skills, etcs. Then he told us to play for prayer meeting. Ok, I was flabbergasted as I didn't expect to be playing so soon. Didn't practise the altar call song and was trying really hard to memorise all the notes. You can pratically see the stress and anxiety on my face before the prayer meeting, lol.
But I tell you, God is amazing. Praise went as planned and during worship...woah. I was enjoying myself during the first worship and then...something amazing happen. Everyone started kneeing down at the start of second worship and I was in a somewhat 'subconscious' state. I didn't play any wrong chords and when I forgot the chords, my fingers simply moved to the correct chords and I can feel my hands being controlled by the Holy Spirit. It is an experience I will never forget.
Thank you Pastor for the wonderful sessions and for this great zone of yours =).
Thank you Edwin for giving me the chance to play for the camp. Even after playing the piano for quite some time, I have never played in front of a crowd, i.e more than 10 people, before. It was truely an awesome experience. Thank you Donny for teaching me how to play the keyboard too. Even though he isn't from our zone, he still sacrificed his time to go for our practices, be it in church, at my house or in the studios. Thank you CGLs for your encouragement and support that we really needed during the times when we didn't believe in ourselves. Thank you BVs, song leaders, chorus board and the band for making praise and worship so enjoyable.
Most of all, thank you God for all that you have done. Without you, I would never have stepped out and played for the camp. I would have made many wrong decisions and perhaps, wouldn't even be able to attend the camp. Thank you for making me stronger and giving me an opportunity to use my talents for your kingdom.
P.S: I just got back my spoilt computer after waiting for 3 weeks. Yea man, don't need to endure the relentless whining of my 'baby' brother again. Woot! =D

Wow, it has really been such a long time since I last updated. Frankly speaking, I literally forgot how to blog too. This is going to take quite some time, lol.
Been having camps for the past 3 weeks from wednesday to saturday. Those who know me very well will realise why I have suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth. Then I kept getting 'suan' by some good friends, ''camp somemore, camp somemore''. Lol.
Well, there is going to be another camp. This time, it is not a school camp. It is a camp organised by WYZ zone and it will be from 9-11 June. I'm really excited for it (like I am always for all camps) and I hope it will be better this time round. Just like the camp's name 'Stronger', I hope I will be stronger in every aspects of my life.
Well, holidays are here. Cheers!! =D. But, just like what the seniors said, JC life has no holidays. Been going back to school for lessons and ccas. Have to catch up on my studies after missing numerous lectures and tutorials. I haven get my progress report yet and I have no idea where it is. One friend says passed it to another friend. Then the other friend says he passed it to another. In the end, I think all got mixed up. Haix...
For cca, we are going to expand and we will be shifting from level 2 to level 4. Plucked out all the cables and wires, monitors, mouse, etc. Had to do stock check and clean up the extremely dusty place. I think my whole face and hand full of dust. Lol. Sneezing was inevitable. Well, at least it was fun =).
Lastly, just want to thank my cca mates for their participation and hard work during the farewell party for our seniors. From the bottom of my heart, I think we were the best out of the 6 teams and we sure made our seniors proud. Working with all of you makes directing and planning so much easier. Thank you =)
