Finally found someone who is willing to listen to me share my life with him. Actually, I'm not a really problematic person and I don't have much problems to share. I just want someone to listen to me share what I've done for the week, my experiences, etc. Usually, I don't feel like sharing cause I have this thought of not wanting the person to feel obligated to listen to me. But then, the problem of not sharing is a problem itself and I realized that it will make me feel worse eventually.
Downloaded the Sims on my iPhone and even the Sims have social meter. If they don't socialize, the meter will drop and once it reaches red, their mood will turn from good to bad. If Sims need to talk, what more humans? Haha not a good analogy but it is what I can think of for now.
I feel I'm slowly getting out of my mood swings, self-pity and negative thoughts due to university. I've more joy when I see the joy of others. It somehow feels more heart-warming when I focus on making others happy than to meet my own needs and make myself happy. I guess God placed this feeling inside of us to differentiate us from animals. No animal will possibly sacrifice itself in order to benefit another animal, unless it is within their own family. For humans, we will be more than willing to help out those in need, even when we don't know them, if we see them in a crisis. E.g the tsunami case when people from other countries helped the countries that were affected.
I guess there is more to life than getting good grades (but I'm still aiming to get 1st class honours, haha), finding a wife, living in a nice house, having a comfortable and successful life.
I got one life to live, I want to live it for God.

Emotional issues
Sometimes the person who has been a listening ear to his friends, listening to their problems and encouraging them, needs someone to be his listening ear and his encouragement as well.
Sometimes, a person doesn't need answers, he just want someone to share his problems with.
My mother asked my dad and I last week that if a mental patient knows that he is having mental problems and if he does, can he control it?
My dad said no straight away but I said it's possible and began a short debate with him. In the end I cited some examples, gave a few psychiatric explanation and convinced both of them it is possible that he knows he is going through it, but it may or may not be within his control, depending on his mental strength.
So if a person is going through depression, will the person know? Probably, and that's why they seek help from psychiatrist and take medications. Analogy- If a person doesn't know he is sick, he won't bother going to a doctor.
I can confirm this personally now, cause I'm having some emotional problem, and I know I'm going through it.
Sigh...feeling really sick and tired.
Really hope this transition period will pass by quickly.
