Commando's VA was quite interesting today.
Being my first time in commando's camp, there were a few fascinating facts that I found that.
1) There is a hall in the camp.
2) There is swimming pool in the camp.
3) There is a gym in the camp.
4) Canteen food isn't so bad after all. Maybe commandos get special treatment. =)
5) Army people are not unfriendly after all. Haha, especially the 2nd lieutenant and captain. Wah super high rank people, but so helpful. =)
The interview also super funny.
"You want to be commando?"
"Ya."
"Ok, but you need to improve your standing-board jump."
"Ok, I know how to improve, my teacher got teach."
"Hmm, then what's your 2.4km timing?"
"11.15"
"Eh you also need to improve, commando standard 9 mins."
I was like "OMG" in silence, lol!!! 9 mins...is possible. My friend went to commando after 3 weeks from 12 mins become 9 mins. Lol. I think the first 3 weeks of army will be torture for me. But I'm sadistic, wahahhahaha! =D
Oh I'm so looking forward to NS now! Almost all guys dread NS but I'm an expection. Hahaha.
Guess I'm eccentric by nature, which in my opinion is a good and bad thing.
Dang can't wait for A level to be over...

"You are required to report to Hendon's camp on 30/07/09 at 7.30am for Vocational Assessment."
Hendon Camp, home of the Commandos was officially inaugurated on 27 Jun 1993 by the then Chief of Defence Force, LG Ng Jui Ping. The opening of the camp was a grand affair, signifying the coming of age of an elite formation.
In other words, I've been selected to be assessed to be a commando.
When I received this letter from NS, I was like "Orh ok". Then when my brother told me "Omg, you know what does this mean?" I was like "Huh...? Of course not. I'm not even in the army." Then he said, "Hendon's camp is the camp for commandos." I was like stunned and said "Really, don't bluff me." Then he showed me the website and said "I've been in army for 2 years, of course I know more than you do."
Lol, my reaction was super epic. I turned to my mum and said, "Mummy, you can prepare for my funeral le." Hahahah! It was just a joke, cause I always thought that commandos are super xiong, then death rate super high. But my teachers proved me wrong. Didn't expect my physics, PC and PD-iC, Ex-student councilor teacher all to be commandos! Great advices they gave me. Now I can't wait to be one...lol! =)
Going to train myself(ran 2.4km yesterday) and keep fit.
Shall focus on these 3 reasons to be a commando:
1. Glory of red beret
2. High pay
3. Sky-diving
God please protect me from all harm.
Positive confession: I will emerge victorious!

Feels overjoyed because I've done what I wanted to do =). It was scary, but I'll never forget that moment.
Now I can study in peace, lol.
Chemistry Test next week: 4 topics
-Chemical periodicity(Finished studying)
-Group II
-Group VII
-Transition elements(Finished studying)
Left 2 more topics. Hope I will pass this test. Then slowly work towards getting A. =)
Yay so happy Edwin enjoyed my sermon. He gave me 4/5 for it! =)

I'm an idiosyncratic person, or maybe my whole class is. Almost every student love Friday cause it is the last day of school for the week. But I seriously detests Fridays now, all thanks to my timetable. Go school for 2 lessons only then have to stay in school till 1pm cause the school gate open only at that time. Worse still, Chemistry teacher MIA for the whole lesson today , so we had break from 9am-1pm -.-...! Should have skipped school today like some of my classmates did. *Draws a big FRIDAY on a paper and crushes it*
I have officially started my revision for all my subjects. Doing chemistry first, then physics, then economics. Math will be optional, if I'm able to complete my revision in time. 5 weeks to prelims. With the enormous amount of things to memorize and understand, the extremely short period of time just exacerbates it. Never have I been so afraid in my whole life before. Lol, anyway there will be only 2 outcome: either I manage to go uni or fail. Since worrying won't help in anyway or make me smarter, I shan't worry then. =)
Random but, I love teaching maths! =D
Didn't know primary school maths evolved so much. Maybe that is why increasing number of students nowadays are complaining about the difficulty of the education system? Oh my gosh, primary 2 need to read all those problem sums. Primary 4 need learn multiplication of decimals. Can't remember if I learnt that at that time...Then primary 6 still the same, but I just love those problem sums. Haha.
I think maths is the only subject that I wouldn't get bored with. If only math can materalize and be a person, I think it would've been my best friend, lol. =X

Hope it wouldn't be my turn. *Clamps both hands in prayer*

Visitation with all the friends is more fun. Whole week filled with visitations, lol. I can get to use my psychology skills again =D Knowing people is really fun, hahahaha! I think I want be a psychiatrist, if I can't become a teacher. Hehe, loves psychology! Used it for playing Dota too. Predicting the moves of the opponent =X

Played volleyball and basketball with my class today. Haha super funny. For volleyball, I hit the ball and the ball fly super high, then everyone laugh, lol! Basketball is fun =) IMO, it is more fun than volleyball cause I can play it better, haha. Yes my first 3-point shoot got in today!

I must sleep early, cause lessons are getting more soporific. With my current results, I really need to pay more attention in class and pull up my socks. God help me please.

Got back my maths result. Got a B. Quite happy already, cause never study much. But so long never get B. I need to study harder. Haix...

Physics is a mystery, cause haven't get back results.

Edwin keep thinking there is something wrong with me. Lol he keep saying I want to backslide. Did I did something wrong or anything? Maybe he is worried that because of A levels, I will give up. I will never give up cause of studies, but more likely because of my parents' nagging.
I already made a promise with God during O levels, that whatever my results are, I will still stay with him. I know that when I go to Heaven, God isn't going to ask me how many degress I have or how much I get for my PSLE, O level or A level. I don't really care whether I fail all my subjects or whatever. I do so just to please my parents, that's all. If I got a choice, I rather quit studying and pursue my passion for music. Can become music teacher also what, don't need everything follow the conformed way of education. Even doctors and lawyers with PHD are begging in the streets in USA now.

Yesterday meeting with A.R Bernard was really inspiring. It is true that sometimes, action isn't equilvalent to results. Experienced this many times in my life, whether is it in studies, or reaching out to people, or friendships. But I love the ending word. PERSISTENCE. Lol he caps it and bold it. Woot la! Best word for me now.
When life gets you down, stand back up. When the night is darkest, the star will shine brightest.

I need to work on myself too. Result has a link with Character. I know I'm not perfect, in the words that I say and my actions. I need to tame my mouth and hands and allow God to sanctify my body. Wow A.R Bernard's words are really encouraging and influencial. In my opinion, he is the best speaker to me. Different speakers meet different needs. He met mine =)
