I'm finally free to update! Actually I'm not, still got GP, chemistry and physics homework to do. But I'm somewhat nocturnal, or maybe that is how singaporeans are, so I will do my homework later on =).

Chinese New Year was great, although it was just a short period of 3 days (sunday-tuesday). I seriously wished we have 15 days of holiday, just like China. So little time to spend with my cousins, only managed to sleepover for one night. I found out that my cousin still play Neopets and she is 19 this year! Haha, it is my family game cause my surname is Neo. See the link? =X

Helped her earn lots of $$ and trophies; I was a pro at that game when I was younger. In fact, that was the first online game I played, lol. I think I'm a prodigy at playing games. =D

Just some photos I took during Chinese New Year:

Reunion dinner

Lao Yu Sheng! My 3rd time this month ^^

My family! =)

We went to a seafood restaurant somewhere in Tuas. There were 4 families present so we had to book 2 tables, lol. Best of all, it was a 10-course meal!! Eat till I shiok!! =D

Bloated and satisfied

Went to my maternal grandparents' home after our reunion dinner to visit them and collect ang baos.

Family photo with my maternal grandmother

Sleepover at cousin's house

Wow, I haven't seen her cat for 1 year and it is so fat now, 6kg!! The fur is super nice to touch, haha.

Although this year's 'harvest' was not as much as the previous years due to the eminent recession, but I still thank God for the blessings. Who wouldn't want any blessing, even how meagre it may be? So, I must continue to be thrifty and save $$ for my building fund. No more lan( sian today still went to lan -.-), no more buying of unnecessary stuff and no more fast food.

I can't believe the J1 are going to come in next monday! Time just flies. Staying overnight in school on sunday to prepare for admin day 1. I do hope my campers will listen to me, cause I don't look like a J2. Rather I look like a secondary kid...Good or bad? For this case, it will be more of a disadvantage I guess.

Orientation camp from 12 feb-14 feb. 14 feb...why does it have to be so coincidental?? I don't want to calculate probability anymore, reality isn't logical at all. Oh well...

First and foremost,

Happy Chinese New Year!!! =D

I love festive seasons, cause it is one of the 2 occasions that I will be rich temporarily. My mum blessed me with $200 to buy my new year clothings, which will make 'someone' envious cause his mum never give him any money at all. (Yes ultimate suaning!! =P)

Will like to thank Angel and Anna for accompanying me to buy my stuff, if not I would have been scammed like nobody business.

Jeans from Manmaster- $69.90

Shirt from spade- $39.90

Shirt from natural project- $49.00

I spent $158.80 in total! This is the most amount of money I have spent on clothings since I was borned, lol. Record breaking sia =X...Sense of achievement flowing through me right now, hehehe.

Gonna tithe and give the remaining money to building fund. A well spent, cost-efficient $200. =)

Thank God for kind teachers; I don't have much homework to do other than Chemistry. So I'm gonna sleepover at my cousin's house and enjoy myself! =)

Orientation preparation almost completed too, have to attend one last meeting next saturday before the real orientation starts. Oh I can't wait for orientation!! It is a dilemma though, feeling that I'm not ready for it, yet can't wait to go into the front line. Haha, guess it is quite common to feel like that whenever there is a big project.

Gonna get lots of Ang Bao and fulfill my building fund! ^^

I finally went out during the weekdays after the start of school! It wasn't that far though, only went to westmall coffee bean, lol.

Monday- Had chemistry test which made me want to cry; I didn't study sufficiently and didn't know how to do the paper.

Tuesday-Had math test which made me want to laugh, cause it was so easy.

JC 2 life is indeed stressful. Initially I thought the teachers were just pulling my leg, by saying we won't have enough time to study. Other than Math, which I don't need to study, all the rest of my subjects are in dire straits.

My teacher showed me the answer scheme for the chemistry test and I almost had a nervous breakdown on the spot. I think I only got 6/34 according to my memory. I really hope that the real result will be higher. To think I was so confident about chemistry; my complacence got the better of me. =(

At least I'm still keeping my own promise to myself: to play only 1 game(or none) of Dota everyday. Maybe I should reduce it to 0 considering the lack of time for studies.

Now I feel like a real adult-a busy man, lol. The life in the real world is certainly arduous. Ironically, that is what makes life interesting. No challenges=no fun. I can relate this to Dota, hahah. Stronger opponents=More challenging=More fun. =D

Chinese New year is coming and I'm so looking forward to all the Ang Baos!! They are going to be my life-saver, lol. After tithing 10%, I think I will give 80% to building fund and 10% for miscellaneous stuff. =) Hope to clear my building fun asap.

Time to do my math tutorial(not studying, just an obligation I must do to avoid getting scolded).

Tomorrow is the best day of my week! =)

08.00-09.00: Math tutorial
09.00-10.30: Break
10.30-11.30: Economics lecture
11.30-12.30: Break
12.30-2: Math lecture

Woo only 3 lessons, and 2 of them are maths! =D

Tomorrow staying back for OGL meeting. Painting OG boards, hope my lack of talent in art don't ruin the board, lol. I think my OG IC is the best after asking around other OG. Other OG IC either too fierce, too unfriendly or something negative. But my OG IC rox, haha. Thank God for a good OG IC. =)

Valentine's day is coming, and it is on a saturday. Hmm...should I....???

Well, first week of school is officially over for me =)

It was strange that I was able to adapt so quickly to the changes of my sleeping habit and waking up 6am everyday. I thought that habits will take 3 weeks to form, lol. Guess my body is super adaptable =D.

My lifestyle also changed rather drastically.

Reached home at 7pm for the whole week as I stayed back everyday to practice my OG family dance. Lol, I have no talent in dancing; they said my body was stiff, can't do all the moves as elegantly as my OG IC, who is in dance CCA. Nvm, at least I know how to dance para-para in the arcade. =P

I made a lot of mini-resolutions. The most dreadful one is to only play a maximum of 1 game of Dota everyday. Even if the game lasts 1 minute, I will still have to stop. It was tough initally on Monday and Tuesday, but after Wednesday I got used to it, hehe. I just played my 1 game so I'm not going to touch Dota after this.

My Imba-hard core mugger regime has started too!

I spent like 6 hours studying everyday for this week, I think my study hour for this week more than 30hrs, hahaha.

This will somewhat be my lifestyle for this whole year till A level is over. No more March, June, September holidays according to what the teachers said. But I'm not ever gonna miss this year's Inspire camp for anything! That is perhaps the only thing I'm looking forward to, other than the end of A levels, haha.

Tomorrow going school for OGL meeting. Oh no, I will see her again. I really want to get over her but the more I try, the more things I find out about her. I don't know if it is a sign, but I miraculously found her blog after clicking continuously from 7 different blogs one after another. If one blog has 20 links, the probability is like 7.8125E-10. It is like one in a hundred billion. Oh my gosh...I'm certain I'm infatuated with her. I don't really know what I like about her, but she is the only few girls(probably less than 5) who will ever look at me and have that many eye-contact together. That moment of eye-contact feels so heavenly. But her blog seems to suggest she is already in a relationship or have a crush or someone else, oh well...

Sometimes I really hate my hormones; they seem to oppose my every will and command. When I want to grow tall, my hormones didn't help me. When I want to stop this silly infatuation thing, once again my hormones defied me. The imperfection of the human body, sigh...

God, you are the only one who is perfect, pls pls pls pls pls help me. I don't want to get distracted. I want to excel for my A levels. Yet, I also want to experiencing being in a relationship at least once before I go army and go university and start work, which will be at least another 7 years. Once again, my hormones are acting up, arghhhhhh.

I'm gonna get into NUS chemistry faculty and invent a drug which will supress my hormones, lol!

Speaking of chemistry, I have a chemistry test on monday. Time to unleash my mugging power!! =D

My goals for A level:

Maths: A
Chemistry: A
Physics: A
Economics: A
General paper: A
Project work: B
Chinese: C ( lol actually chinese is redundant to me)

Jia You Gary!! =)

OGL Prep camp 1 ended today =)

I seriously love this camp very much, cause I made so many new friends and felt so bonded with my OG group. For the previous camps, I've always been the food attache and never get any chance to bond together with my OG group. Most of the time I was bonding with the food and the other food attaches, which were from different OG groups, so we weren't that close.

I think what Mr.Leow said is really true, tested and proven by me. I went to the camp being passionate and having positive attitude, enjoying every activity and enduring every training aka torture. Initially I was be afraid of not being able to talk to the people due to past experience, where everyone looks super bored and 'dao' me. But thank God, all my group members were so enthusiatic and even those who were not got influenced and soon everyone was having fun together, haha. =D

That is what makes a successful camp-the spirit of the people. If one person is doing a stupid act, he/she will appear stupid. But if everyone does that stupid act, it will become fun. I love the culture of JJC. It is so similar to church, where everyone is always cheering and encouraging each other as well. This is all thanks to Mr.Tan, the teacher in-charge of the 27th batch of student councilor, who is also from CHC. =)

I think the best way to feel belonged to a group is to become someone important to the group. I was in charge of choreographing the dance steps for our OG performance, and it was brain-sapping! Imagine a person with no background of dancing, other than parapara and mass dance, figuring out new moves for a song. Haha, that's me! =) Although there will be some editing at the chorus, but the moves for stanza 1 are perfectly ok! Yea!!! ^^

This is also the 1st school camp I'm getting some temptations. There was this girl who kept having eye contact with me. Initially I thought it was coincidence but everytime(ok maybe not everytime, 90% of the time) I turned my head I will see her looking at me. Furthermore, she is quite pretty and good to look at. So I will sometimes look at her too when she isn't looking at me. But I was afraid she will know I was looking at her too, so I pretended to look at something else whenever she turned her head, lol! It was really dramatic.

It was a tough battle between my flesh and mind. My flesh kept saying: "Look at her, it is alright. Or maybe you should introduce yourself and get to know her."
But my mind kept reminding me: "She is not a christian(from my discernment), remember what the bible said? Anyway you already like someone else in church."

So I was thinking through Wayne's thoughts. He said that if you like someone who is a non-christian, you befriend that person first and make sure the bond is super strong, then invite her to church. If the bond is super strong, she'll go wherever you go, lol. But that is hypothetically only. Not every situation will end up like that.

The bible tells us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers for a reason. It is easier to be corrupted than to be made good. An example is a basket containing a good apple and a bad apple. Eventually the good apple will turn bad too. The theory of degeneration states that any matter that is left untouched, without any external or internal disturbance, will automatically degrade itself. Human being is a matter too, so I guess that is why we will always turn bad without proper guidance.

Conclusion: Don't fall in love with unbelievers, unless you are 100% sure they will become christians and you won't backslide. Wait for God to give you someone who isn't perfect, but best suited to you, lol! =D Like duh, no one is perfect...

Anyway I'm sure that this crush thing will fade away after orientation is over. But I really can't wait for orientation to start! So excited!! Woo!!

Team JJ from the west,
Team JJ is the best,
Team JJ strong,
We fight on, we will ever strive on.
JJ is the best!
JJ beats the rest!
So let this spirit carry on!
Woo I love to mass dance and cheer and serve the campers and become high! I think I'm going crazy soon, whahahah! =P

But, I still haven't finished my holiday assignments, and school is starting in 2 days time. I found out during the camp that there will be a block test for maths, chemistry and physics on tuesday, wednesday and thursday. I really feel like screaming if I'm at the beach, but too bad I'm at home and it is 1.27am. I think my maths and chem will drop from A to U, lol. 180° turn.

Nevermind, positive attitude. At least I'm not the only one who never do, wahahahah! =D

Thank you OG 1 for being so bonded together and making everyone feel a part of the group! I really hope we'll be together even after orientation and when we get our A level results together, we will rejoice about the good news together! United we stand, divided we fall!

Winning+cheering=Normal
Losing+cheering=Character

I love my school! =)

Went to school yesterday in the morning after 2 months of holidays for OGL meeting. Have to wake up so early, my body ain't used to it yet. That is one reason why I don't want to go to school, hahaha. Ironically, I can't wait for school to start so I can get my pocket money.

Mr leow, the teacher in charge of the orientation camp next year, gave us a super long but meaningful talk. He mentioned 2 values that determine whether we will become successful in the things we do that I thought was rather true.

1. Passion
2. Positive attitude

It seems almost too simple to the point of mockery to say these; anyone will be able to give the same values or even more. Yet the truth lies just ahead.

Passion

-is the engine driving you forward. Nothing gets accomplish without passion.
-makes you do something even without anything in return. You just do it because you want to, not because you need to.
-is active, not just blindly speaking it but acting it out.

When was the last time you have been passionate about something? The feeling of being passionate for something is beyond description. You just feel that everyday is a brand new day and you can't wait to start doing the things you are passionate about.

My teacher said he don't need talented people, don't need tremedous amount of people, only people with tenacity and passion. That is something I need to work on.

Positive attitude

I'm an optimist by nature so this is my forte. Many people don't believe in positive attitude, saying that it is plain self-deception. It is like saying the world won't end and we will live forever, when people are dying everyday and there won't be any elixir of life possibly being invented in the next 10000 years or so.

Having positive attitude is not the same as not planning for the worst. Sure I do plan for the worst, but I don't hope for them to happen or lament about it. The best way to have positive attitude is to say 'Hey, my house just crashed, but at least something worse didn't happen, like the sun falling from the sky.'

There is 288377733999 (some random numbers) ways for the situation to become worse. I learnt this in biology from my school's top scorer. It is harder for something to be right than it to be wrong. It contains abit of evolution theory, which I don't believe in anyway: the white-peppered moth. There is so many ways for the moth to be another colour. It can be red, blue, black, yellow, purple, orange, violet, indigo, green, etc. But out of all these colours, it became white. There is a math theory about this too, which I can't recall, haha.

So for the orientation camp, our teacher said all he need from us is being passionate and having positive attitude.

With this, I shall prepare for my OGL prep camp starting from tomorrow till saturday. Hope I won't miss service!

I just did chemistry and only managed to do one question. Forgot all about simple stuff like mole concept and chemical bonding. Guess I was too complacent...

Just finished watching One Piece episode 224. I think I'm addicted to One Piece now, just fairly lesser than Dota.

Decided to take a break cause the saga just ended, don't want to start a new one now.

Then, I remembered I got a video on youtube!!

That was when I'm secondary 3, performing in the hall, haha.

Lol, I realised I've changed a lot, for the better. =)

I'm back from my class chalet!!!

It was better than what I expected, cause I wasn't really close to my class as I spent most of my time with my CCA mates. The first thing I saw when I entered the room was FOOD!!! It was a wide spread of food-duck, stingray, otta, watermelon, roasted pork, soup and many more!

The guys were playing Guitar Hero World Tour on PS3 and they beckoned me to play cause they said my DJmax very pro, lol...

I went to play the drums and played hard mode, then I stunned all of them, cause it is my first time playing and yet I can play so well, hahahaha. But I played the drums in the arcade before, so it is somewhat similar.

Then later we went a 24hr LAN shop together to play Dota at midnight. Playing Dota with them is simply hilarious, which relieve me of the pressure that I had, since I was from E-gaming club. Losing means bringing disgrace to my CCA, lol. Shan't talk about the funny things they do, cause no body except me will understand, lol.

Before I forget,

A Belated Happy New Year to everyone!!!

Was in chalet so can't post, lol.

Went with my CG to count down at some playground in bukit batok. Personally I prefer the serenity the playground has to offer to crowded places like Marina Bay or Boon Lay.

2008 was so awesome, I feel quite reluctant to part with it.

The thanksgiving party was so awesome too, no doubt the best one yet.

Thanks Edwin for giving me the Servanthood award, also by the grace of God. I'll remember what you said to me when you gave me the CD, cause seriously I don't think I deserved this award too. Maybe other awards like the cutest award or the most entertaining award if there are, haha.

But, allowing me to play the keyboard for thanksgiving is the best gift for me already. Thank you so much Edwin!!! =)

Most certainly, you deserved to get the BEST CGL award! =D

Lastly, thank God for making all JC students start school at 12 Jan. Whahaha, don't need start first day of school on a friday. I think today a long of people 'pon' school, lol.

A level this year, time to mug mug mug mug mug!!! I'm gonna mug till I really become a mug. =P
