I'm blogging cause I got bored of playing Starcraft 2, lol. Realized that after playing too much for quite some time, it gets a bit monotonous. Like the build order, it's exact the same thing. Just memory work. But still keep losing to all the pros out there, just like when I started playing Dota. But the addictive part is the campaign/achievements, the story plot is nice. The ending was quite expected, if one followed Starcraft closely. Sarah Kerrigan got restored back to human. But her hairstyle still remained the same as the zerg, it's really epic, lol. Hurray to the reunion of James and Sarah.
Got promoted to MM (ministry member) during service 2 days ago =). It's quite memorable, going to the front of the stage to 'sign my life' away, quoted from Edwin, lol. With higher levels, come greater devils. Have to fight lots of temptation, the most difficult one being the urge to curse and swear at the camp I'm living in, the people that are constantly attacking me for no apparent reason and at myself for making stupid mistakes that cause the sergeants to scold me/ give me extra/confinement/SOL/DB/anything bad. Argh..................................................................................!!!
We must really look on the bright side of life in order to live happily. Thank God for great friends, in camp and church alike. Although can't share lots of personal matters with my camp friends cause all we do is talk cock, lol. Been a long time since I had a heart-to-heart talk with someone. Thank God for Gouwei, talked about a lot of stuff that I haven't been willing to say. I really miss all those times our S&S clinque fellowship together. After CC and I went for NS, so many things changed. Change is the only constant in life. But sometimes, I really wish certain things remained the same.
October is coming soon, hopefully there will be another mass birthday celebration for S&S. This year got more $$ already, can go and eat even more expensive food, lol. If I'm not wrong, I should have a one week break from 11-15 October before flying off to Australia. Our CSM says that the drivers will have a very very tough time in Australia. Need to break tracks a lot of times, set up command post, etc. 3 words for myself, Just Do It.
440 more days to ORD. Ironically, I felt more motivated in commando than here. It's like it has been a long time since someone praised/thank me in camp, I sort of totally forgot how to appreciate/thank people as a result. The last time was probably during BMT, when I managed to hit 9 mins for my 2.4km run. My platoon mates congratulated me, and my sergeants smiled at me to affirm me too. But in here, everyday only listen to orders and get scolded like dogs. Life's like that, so must enjoy when we still can, lol.
Going to be a long week ahead, booking out on 30 sept. A lot of ppl like to wish me 'have fun in camp!' so I'm going to say that to myself too. Gary, have fun in camp! Lol =D

Last week was kind of a short week for me, due to Hari Raya. Actually had to do guard duty on Thursday-Friday but the guard system screwed up and HQ coy did it instead, lol. So I managed to go to WYZ district meeting and get my holiday. Edwin performed on stage once again, and he is just awesome. The coolest CGL I've known =)
My back is still hurting (even now as I'm typing) and I went to the polyclinic on yesterday morning cause I need to get an excuse for running for AHM(army half marathon). Running will no doubt worsen my condition and even slight sprinting causes pain. Sitting on the sofa is painful too, which leads me to think whether this will be permanent. I think the whole platoon knows how badly I want to down PES, but it's a tough decision, and not one I am to make anyway. It's all up to the MO and the officers.
I'm not afraid of the physical, just the mental. Seriously, army is mentally stressful instead of physical pain. I hate getting scolded for things that I didn't do, but get blamed for it. Like the vehicle logbook which my friend left to me with 3 months not being updated when he OOC. I almost thought of killing myself at that time, lol. But I managed to talk my way through. In the end, the sergeants helped me to update and blamed the original owner instead. Thank God...
Going field camp again this week, as I said, which never ends. Not at least till I ORD. Will be careful this time and not injure my back, if not I'll be sitting on a wheelchair for the rest of my life.
I got a funny conversation with my friends during field camp. Friend A wanted to pee and in the forest, the toilet is everywhere, literally. So Friend B told him to take cover, part of tactical movement. So Friend A went somewhere which he thought it was camouflaged. But all of us still could see him. so Friend B said, "What the f***, which part of take cover you don't understand?" Then I answered, "Cover, he went to 'take' instead." Then we all started laughing, hahah!
Laughter really is the best medicine, and I need more of it in camp. Some people around me started saying that I laugh at the slightest thing. True, cause I'm deprived of it. So when there is a chance to laugh, I'll try my best to, lol. I rather the MO give us laughter therapy than all those useless painkillers. Like the name suggest, painkillers only stop the pain, doesn't cure it.
Booking in camp soon, the weekends always seem too short, and the weekdays, ever longer.

This week is a good/bad week.
Bad cause we went for 4 days 3 night field camp which started on Monday. Just on the first day alone, it rained -.-. I also got bitten by sand flies and mosquitoes till my both hands became swollen, akin to a pig's trotters. Seriously pain and itchy plus there was pus oozing out of the wounds. Showed it to one of the sergeants and he sort of freaked out too, lol!
Good cause on Wednesday night, I slipped and fell and landed my backbone on the vehicle ramp door handle, which is super epic pain. Never felt so much pain since idk when. Even wisdom tooth surgery also not so pain. So I couldn't move for the whole night and was lying on the stretcher provided by the medic while waiting to be sent to NUH the next morning. Went to NUH for x-ray, got some painkillers and MC for 2 days. So I booked out on Thursday instead, wooooo!!!
My father said the painkillers won't help me recover so he brought me to a Chinese physician and it hurt like crazy when he messaged me and use the fire jar method, something similar to that used to heal Jaden smith in karate kid. Seeing it and experiencing it is different. It's super hot and painful, like someone putting a pair of tongs in an oven and clipping over your skin.
If only I could get injured without the pain, that will be the best. To hell with being a chiongster, seriously. Chiong so much also no use, get same pay (pain too). Argh, I wanna down PES now, but it's too late =/
Oh well, 456 (nice number) days more to ORD.
