Last week was kind of a short week for me, due to Hari Raya. Actually had to do guard duty on Thursday-Friday but the guard system screwed up and HQ coy did it instead, lol. So I managed to go to WYZ district meeting and get my holiday. Edwin performed on stage once again, and he is just awesome. The coolest CGL I've known =)
My back is still hurting (even now as I'm typing) and I went to the polyclinic on yesterday morning cause I need to get an excuse for running for AHM(army half marathon). Running will no doubt worsen my condition and even slight sprinting causes pain. Sitting on the sofa is painful too, which leads me to think whether this will be permanent. I think the whole platoon knows how badly I want to down PES, but it's a tough decision, and not one I am to make anyway. It's all up to the MO and the officers.
I'm not afraid of the physical, just the mental. Seriously, army is mentally stressful instead of physical pain. I hate getting scolded for things that I didn't do, but get blamed for it. Like the vehicle logbook which my friend left to me with 3 months not being updated when he OOC. I almost thought of killing myself at that time, lol. But I managed to talk my way through. In the end, the sergeants helped me to update and blamed the original owner instead. Thank God...
Going field camp again this week, as I said, which never ends. Not at least till I ORD. Will be careful this time and not injure my back, if not I'll be sitting on a wheelchair for the rest of my life.
I got a funny conversation with my friends during field camp. Friend A wanted to pee and in the forest, the toilet is everywhere, literally. So Friend B told him to take cover, part of tactical movement. So Friend A went somewhere which he thought it was camouflaged. But all of us still could see him. so Friend B said, "What the f***, which part of take cover you don't understand?" Then I answered, "Cover, he went to 'take' instead." Then we all started laughing, hahah!
Laughter really is the best medicine, and I need more of it in camp. Some people around me started saying that I laugh at the slightest thing. True, cause I'm deprived of it. So when there is a chance to laugh, I'll try my best to, lol. I rather the MO give us laughter therapy than all those useless painkillers. Like the name suggest, painkillers only stop the pain, doesn't cure it.
Booking in camp soon, the weekends always seem too short, and the weekdays, ever longer.
