y Countdown to NS: 10 days

I finally got work after like 3 months of holidays, which is one of my prayers answered. Even though it won't be much, I think around $200, but it is better than nothing. Wouldn't be able to collect it cause I'll be in army so probably ask Chao Chung to help me collect.

Work was ironically fun, but only at the start. I know I'll get flamed by all the working adults when they see this, lol. =X Well starting Chao Chung and I super enthu, do 19 shelves then got 1 group only do 4 shelves, lol! But then, when we go to the new location, our enthusiasm totally faded away. Super sian...Tomorrow must do the same location again =(

Oh well, work ain't meant to be fun, but I hope I can insert fun into it. Like the movie character Mary Poppins, everything will be fun once you enjoy it and treat it like a game. Ok from tomorrow to friday, I'm gonna enjoy my work! =D

I asked a lot of people this question for the past one week, what will you do if you have only one week left to live?

The closest one to mine was Xinying. Hers super classic, find her true love, hahahah!

Mine quite epic.

Left 1 week right, since I never had a girlfriend before, I go to a random stranger and go ask if she'll like to be my girlfriend, which will most likely fail. So keep asking until 1000 times. It will probably take more 10 days, so can go army before that, haha.

Of course it is just thinking, I doubt I will ever do it, lol.

Anyway, one of my new year resolution is to be less busybody. I just said for fun that time and then Chao Chung they all took it seriously. Then now it has got into me.

So I've been trying my best to mind my own business whenever necessary, like I know something happened recently and it was quite huge but I don't really know and I'm not going to ask. If you want to tell me anything, I will gladly listen. =) Other than that, I think I won't ask anything or anyone about anything or anyone or anywhere or anyhow or whatever.

To my cousin Gordon if you see this:

It's a
fact that the next few days will be my last days of freedom/life. Maybe you haven't heard much about commando. Even if I do make it out of NS in one piece( hopefully no arm or legs missing), once I enter into the adult world, freedom is almost uncertain. So don't anyhow say I think negatively. I'm a rather optimistic person on the other hand, lol. =)
If I had been negative, I would have "chao gek", fractured a leg or arm and escape commando. But I believe I'll get through it, this 2 years of my life.

Countdown to NS: 16 days

Oh now that looks pretty close. It is just a matter of time now.

I'm still in the "let me enjoy my last days of freedom in peace" mood. But today's the exception, cause I thought this whole week will be packed but i realized today is my only free day. And I woke up at 1pm. So much for being free. -.-

So 1pm-3pm played guitar with my strap! Woo I told CC already and I'm gonna say it again, playing with strap is so uber fun! Totally got motivation to play, haha. And thank God I didn't break any strings this time, and hopefully not for the next 16 days.

3pm-5pm played face book games and 5pm decided to go exploring via cycling.

Destinaton: Woodlands
Starting point: Jurong West

Took 1 hour, 3 mins and 47 seconds (I was timing myself using stopwatch) to reach Yew Tee, and the tricky part came. To go to the next MRT station, Kranji, I have to backtrack and take another road cutting through the industries which I never been to before. Halfway along the road(I think), I saw lightning storm far ahead and decided to chiong back home, lol!

Anyway, that concludes my failed attempt to cycle to woodlands. I'll try again next time when the weather permits so.

Had a lot of fun so far for the past few months after A levels. Achieved parts and parts of my dream too. Too bad haven't had Dota Marathon with Gou Wei as promised. Never work and earn money as well, but thank God will be working next week and it can, although insufficiently, sustain my heavy burden of adult fare.

Been pondering on this question yesterday and today:

Let's say, if you have a choice, would you choose between someone you love or someone who loves you?

If it was the past/younger me, I would have chosen someone who loves me. Cause of the saying, it is more blessed to be loved than to love. And by doing so, I won't get hurt. Not that someone loves me or anything(I hope there is, lol!), but the past me just wants someone to love him. Partly due to low self esteem and image too =X

But for now, I will choose the someone that I love. No doubt the person may not like me back, but I can't deny my feelings for the person. Self deception is the worst form of deception. Even if it means not being able to be with the person, seeing the person being happy would suffice. I'm quite sure many will choose this path too. God chose this too, that he loved the whole world, but yet the whole world didn't love him back. Not for now, but maybe one day the whole world will be saved. Of course, God's love is super super super and much greater. My heart only has the capacity of one person. God can love the whole world. Wow...

So I'll wait, waiting is part and parcel of my life already. If after NS cannot, nvm I'll still wait. After University also cannot, nvm I'll still wait. I'll wait for that day to come. At most wait until I become the most eligible bachelor, like my shifu Donny. But I really feel for him la, he got money, talent, looks, spiritual CGL, character, etc. Still not attached. Argh why...=(

If only I got half of his everything. Cannot be no one like him right?

Maybe he is also waiting for someone?? Lol! Anyhow guess one, not very sure =X

Finally, the rain spread to Jurong West from Kranji. Gonna have a good night sleep now =)

Countdown to enlistment: 23 days

Every post just counting down only, haha. Just let me enjoy my last few days of freedom, before being caged up in an pseudo prison like commando hendon's camp itself.

Just on the threshold of entering the adult world, I experienced the harsh reality of it. Traveling has never been a problem, much less something that I'll even bother with. But adult fare is truly terrifying. Pure cruelty exhibited by the government, to people like us that are not even working yet. To working adults, I reckon it is peanuts. But to students that are still studying and just graduated, it is hell.

I can feel how the poly/ITE students feel man. Like totally. Why can't the government just let them pay student fare, or even if there is a need to increase, maybe increase to $55 or $65. Don't have to make them pay adult fare right? And how smart they are to allow voting only for those 21 and above, which means the students can't do anything about their problem. I'm not against the government or anything, just voicing out what the majority of the citizen, in this case, feels.

I might not have perfect English language but I believe that words spoken from one's heart beats a speech that has all the profound contexts, but flawed with insincerity.

Can't help but feel sympathetic for those enlisting in april. They have to spend $300++ on adult fare and they're not working adults. This world is indeed imperfect and injustice do prevails sometimes. That's why we need God, the only perfect one.

When we are faithless, He remains faithful. Can't count the number of times I've been faithless...

Just finished writing/printing my sermon for tmr's prayer meeting with my group.

It has been a long time since I led PM, hope everything turns out fine. I've done my best, now God do what I cannot do.

School has started for most people. However, I'm not quite used to seeing students wear uniform after so long. Frankly speaking, I'm quite stuck in the middle of nowhere right now, reason being...

26 more days to NS

Want to do many things, but not enough time to do.
Don't want to do anything, but afraid of wasting 26 days of my life.

So within these 26 days, I must find a "replacement" for myself. Not that I'm leaving and not coming back or anything, but I doubt I'll be able to do what I used to do.

For example:

1. Giving BS will be quite impossible unless talk on the phone and fill up blanks. 0.o
2. Having PM will be quite impossible unless prayer conference when I'm allowed to use the phone in camp.
3. Leading a CGC and follow-up on new friends will be quite impossible unless I am a robot. Oh boy, that will save lots of trouble and time spent on sleeping.

My burden of finding a disciple of mine hasn't been gone since November till now. Seriously I don't know what will happen to the CG. Most of the CGCs will have their toughest moment in life.

Chao Chung going army soon too, Angel will be having her 'A' levels. I think Edwin will be very burdened. Haix...

Anyway I told Kelvin and Edwin I won't be going into CG ministry. Till now, I still strongly feel my calling is into the music ministry. Prayed about it since young till now. Lol I still remembered the first time in Sharon's CG, immediately after CG will go and play the piano. I love playing worship songs, would cry and feel the presence of God when I play. Christian songs aren't boring and unoriginal; they are songs that allow the love and presence of God to flow. No other kind of songs can do that.

But above all, God is still sovereign. We don't worship 'worship', we worship God.

30/12/09 to now

Woo so exciting the past few days!

Had OPM at 30 dec, played guitar for the zone for the first time! And I'm super blur, at first I thought I playing keyboard then the day before OPM Edwin told me I playing guitar, and I heard wrongly, lol! But never mind the instrument, the important part is serving God and his people =)

Went to Mac to sleep again and went back home and had a super long sleep till night. Then Chao Chung told me they all at Yun Ting's hotel room going count down. At first I thought I can't make it in time, then I saw one guy running from City Hall MRT to the same place I'm going, so I ran behind him, hahaha! And I made it in time, 11.55pm! =D

Then played truth and found out a lot of secrets from them, but actually everyone already know each other so well already, lol. Aiya now more people know my secret...

Slept 2 hours only, some slept a lot, some slept a bit also. Then went to buy my new shoes and played pool after that. Yes I Win Gou Wei! Hahaha! Improved a lot, starting to like it now =)

Then went back home and sleep even more.

Then today Pin De kor kor gave me a huge shock cause he smsed me: " Gary. You serving as West IC today. Haha. I know I inform you quite last min but prepare k. You can reach church at 12?"

I was like OMG, cause I woke up at 12.15pm! Then rushed out of house. But God is really good. Everything went smoothly during service except for a few mistakes and quite enjoyed myself, haha. Then fellowshipped with CG after service and usher briefing and played monopoly deal. Got another shocker from Edwin, he is so pro! Less than 5 minutes end game le, lol! His secret: "Been playing for the past 7 days with WYZ, KEL, RSC." Wahhhhhhh power la! =X

Now reached home and blogging, haha. Don't want to travel much, need pay adult fare le. $20 gone in 2 days. Pain to the max...So suay lo, in town then kena the travelling fare change.

Can't wait for NS. Count down: 33 days! Will be very fast. =)

Pastor preached today so true man. When you saw the girl you like, your faith is like so high level, like she is the right one for you. Then when you found out the girl don't really like you, your faith decreased and burst, like balloon. But it's ok, I'll inflate my balloon again. To Commando, and beyond!
